In 1955, Grandpa Yitzhak Shulman arrived in Tel Aviv from Izmir, Turkey and opened an olive and smoked fish stand in the Carmel Market. A decade later, he was joined by his son Haim, who opened another stand in the market and coined the name Sassy Pickle Center. In 2004, there was a terror attack at Carmel Market, forcing father Haim to retire from the business. Since then, his son Sassy has undertaken to lead the world of pickles, continually expanding the range of products - different olives, olive mixes, herrings, smoked fish, natural tahini and other deli products. At the stand in Sarona Market, in addition to the well-known favorite selection, Sassy will also offers quality olive oil, while continuing the family tradition - a tradition of flavors.
